FleetPulse Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Checklist

Purpose: To ensure all FleetPulse products are properly installed, functioning, and ready for use as new equipment is integrated into your fleet operations.

2.  Untethered Data Validation

·         Using the FleetPulse mobile or desktop website, confirm the asset VIN matches the installed FleetPulse telematics device type and serial number.

·         Review and validate the accuracy of untethered sensor data on the FleetPulse platform.

3.  Visual Inspection

3.1  Device Mounting

 

·         Confirm the FleetPulse telematics device is securely mounted to the trailer in the designated location and position. *Support

·         Verify the device assembly is free from physical damage (e.g., cracks, dents, or missing components).

 

3.2  Wiring and Connections

 

·         Check that all wiring from the FleetPulse telematics device is securely mounted, connections in locked positions, and wiring routed properly to avoid wear and tear. *Support

·         Repair any connectors loose, unplugged or have signs of corrosion.

3.3  Sensors and Power

 

·         Inspect and test all sensors (e.g., tether, battery, door) for functionality, secure mounting, and physical damage. *Support

·         Confirm the FleetPulse telematics device is receiving power and battery charging is functional.

 

4.  Tethered Data Validation

·         Review and validate the accuracy of tethered data updates on the FleetPulse platform. *Support

·         Confirm temperature or other environmental sensors (if installed) are accurate.

 

 

5.  PDI Record Sheet

·         Complete the inspection form and obtain sign-off from supervisor.
